What is Paediatric Dermatology?

Paediatric dermatology helps to treat skin conditions often found in children, such as acropustulosis and granuloma annulare. The conditions found in children can also be found in adults, however the effects these skin conditions can have on younger children and teenagers can be very different and in most cases, be very severe.

If you wish to discuss your child’s condition with one of our paediatric dermatologists, please get in touch with our team today and book a consultation for an initial discussion.

Benefits of Paediatric Dermatology

Children can benefit significantly from paediatric dermatology treatments as they can help to treat various skin conditions early to stop them from getting worse and causing further complications in children. Allowing specialist infant dermatologists to intervene within the early stages of diagnosis is crucial, so we advise consulting with a paediatric dermatologist as soon as possible if there are any early signs of skin conditions within your children.

This can prevent future scarring and helps to protect the condition of your child’s skin and make the condition less irritable.
