Full Body Mole Mapping
Full body moles mapping and a full skin check from a qualified dermatologist.
Full body moles mapping and a full skin check from a qualified dermatologist.
During your initial consultation, our dermatologists will perform a full-body mole map and skin check to identify any new moles and monitor changes to existing ones through a dermoscopic examination of each mole.
Following initial consultation, we store the results from the mole mapping and skin examination, digitally, to further help to identify potential changes in the future by keeping a record of your moles such as where they are, their shape, size, and features.
We perform a follow-up examination at three, six, or twelve months to reassess your moles by comparing them with previously stored images. Our consultant dermatologist reviews the sequential dermoscopic images to detect any potential changes over time.
The purpose of mole mapping is to identify any new moles as well as changes to existing moles on your body. Mole mapping process helps to identify these changes in the future by keeping a record of your moles, such as where they are, their shape, size, and features.
Mapping your moles can be extremely beneficial in diagnosing skin cancers, such as melanoma, much faster than if the mapping had not taken place.
Individuals with a history of skin cancer or those with multiple or atypical moles may benefit significantly from mole mapping, as it enables early detection of any changes that could indicate malignancy.
At Skin inspection, we provide the highest quality mole mapping at our Harley Street Clinic, which is personally performed by a consultant dermatologist with special interest in skin cancer examination. We take dermoscopic images of ALL your moles.
