Dermal Fillers

Expert dermal filler treatments from highly trained practitioners.

What are Dermal fillers?

Dermal fillers, also known as face and lip fillers, are a specially designed gel-like solution that is injected beneath the skin. They’re used to fill lines and wrinkles as well as replace lost volume to specific areas of the face such as the lips or cheeks and provide a more youthful appearance.

Our clinics are all safe, medical environments so you can rest assured that our dermal filler treatments will be carried out by qualified professionals.

During your initial consultation, our dermatologists will discuss your motivations for the treatment in order to determine the most appropriate areas to administer the filler

Popular locations for dermal filler treatments depend on the purpose for the treatment. When looking to add volume or fullness popular areas include the lips, cheeks, and bridge of the nose. However, when looking to smooth and plump lines and wrinkles popular areas include the forehead, eyes, mouth, chin, neck and hands.

During your initial consultation, our dermatologists will discuss your motivations for the treatment in order to determine the most appropriate areas to administer the filler.

Dermal filler treatments are non-surgical and require no cuts, incisions or stitches to made. Treatments typically take between 20 and 30 minutes.

There is usually no downtime after dermal filler treatment. You may be able to resume your normal activities immediately after the procedure. However, it is important to avoid strenuous activity for a few days.

Following your treatment, our dermatologists will complete a post-treatment review to ensure that you’re happy with the results as well as to answer any further questions that you may have.

You may also experience some swelling or bruising following the treatment but this is to be expected. The swelling from dermal fillers usually fades within 48 hours with any bruising fading within a couple of weeks.

Due to the nature of semi-permanent fillers, over time the filler solution will be naturally metabolised by the body. To achieve the same affect again, the treatment will have to be repeated.
